Panjab University Student Council elections Today /Who will win Pu Chd elections 2012

A day before the Student Council elections, Panjab University bore a deserted look while all parties remained cautious not to violate any guidelines at the last moment. Though security men seemed more alert than the past few days, instances of clashes and campaigning in departments despite it being prohibited today, were still reported.
For the elections tomorrow, all preparations have been made by the office of Dean Students’ Welfare and the security of the University as well as the UT police department. The ballot boxes were sent to the departments and the affiliated colleges on Tuesday and the ballot papers will be sent at 7 am on Friday. About 550 policemen will be patrolling the campus and police posts will be set up at every department where where polling will be conducted. There are 57 polling booths on campus.
While the parties are all prepared for the elections, making all necessary attempts to gain as many votes as possible, students have also started making their final choices. Though it is a four-day weekend for the University students, the student exodus from the hostels has not yet begun.
