POST BASIC B.Sc. NURSING (POST BASIC) SESSION – 2012-13

Eligibility as per INC Norms :

(i) Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the University for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission.

(ii) Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of midwifery in any one of the following areas;

O.T. Techniques

Ophthalmic Nursing

Leprosy Nursing

T.B. Nursing

Psychiatric Nursing

Neurological & Neuro-Surgical Nursing

Community Health Nursing

Cancer Nursing

Orthopedic Nursing

iii) Candidates shall be medically fit



Application Fee :

Admission Application Form must accompany the Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- in favour of Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences payable at Faridkot.



Age : The candidate must have completed 17 years of age as on 01.07.2012 i.e. she/he should have been born on or before 01.07.2012.



Procedure of Selection : for B.Sc Nursing Post Basic Course session 2012-13

** Admission will be entirely on the basis of merit of the candidate in General Nursing and Midwifery Course Marks Obtained.

** In case of same marks in GNM than the candidate having more experience will be considered first.

** In case of same marks in GNM and same experience than the candidate Older in age will be considered first.

** The candidate must registered as RN & RM at the time of Counseling.

** The reservation as per Punjab Govt Rules.
