The Govt. of Andhra Pradesh
supervise the Andhra Pradesh
Teaching Eligibility Test( APTET) two
times in a year. There are two paper
in this examination I & II. Applicants
have a willing to teach the students
of 1 st to 5th class must have to
attend the first paper and
candidates who want to teach the
students 6th to 8 th must have to
2nd paper. There are certain
eligibility for attend the APTET
defined by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

apply for APTET. As The Govt. of
Andhra Pradesh is very strict in case

Educational qualification – As
mentioned, there are two paper for
APTET so in case of apply ,
applicants need to prove the
minimum eligibility for each paper
separately.
For the first Paper –
Minimum 45% in intermediate/
Senior secondary and must have 2
year diploma in Elementary
education.
OR
Minimum 50% in intermediate/
Senior secondary and qualify 4-year
Bachelor of Elementary Education
For the Second paper –
Degree in any discipline and 2 year
diploma in Elementary Education
OR
Minimum 50% in Degree in any
discipline and 1 st year B.ED in
special education
Relaxation in Educational
qualification – Candidates
belonging to reserved category will
have 5% relaxation in marks at
intermediate/Senior secondary.
Other Person who is eligible –
Telugu Pandit - B.A. (Telugu
Literature) or BA (Oriental Language-
Telugu) or Bachelor of Oriental
Language Telugu or a graduate
degree with optional subject Telugu
or MA (Telugu).
Hindi pandit - A graduate degree
with optional subject Hindi or
Bachelor of Oriental Language Hindi
or Praveen of Dakshina Bharat Hindi
Prachar Sabha or Vidwan of Hindi
Prachar Sabha.
Urdu pandit - BA (Urdu Literature)
or BA (Oriental Language Urdu) or
Bachelor of Oriental Language Urdu
or Graduate Degree with optional
subject Urdu or M.A. (Urdu).
